Non-Proselytizing Policy

Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations will not proselytize. Nor will HFH work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with HFH. This means that HFH will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.

History

In 1990, a group of compassionate and concerned volunteers began to lay the foundation for all of the work that has been done in our community.  At the end of 2023, we will have completed 112 homes and worked with 185 families to provide homeownership solutions.  Thousands of volunteers, many staff members, and a supportive community have empowered us to continue making affordable housing a reality for our homebuyers in Bowling Green.

1990- File for Articles of Incorporation.

1991- Build first home in Rockfield, KY.

2003- Western Kentucky University Campus Chapter is formed.

2006- Built 50th home and opened the Habitat ReStore on Nashville Road.

2008- Relocated the ReStore to a larger facility on US-31W Bypass.

2013- Relocated the ReStore to larger facility at 1232 Adams St.

2013- Began installing infrastructure at our 44 home development at Durbin Estates.

2015- Built 75th home and first Passive House.

2023- Built 100th home and relocated the ReStore to 813 College Street, Suite 401.
