We're in this together...
You may know that Habitat for Humanity of Bowling Green/Warren County is building homes in this community, but did you know that your local affiliate is actively working alongside partners around the country and the world to ensure access to affordable housing? In our time of need, following the impact of tornadoes in 2021, support came to help us build. We similarly believe in being there for partners in need.

Outside of our work here in Bowling Green/Warren County, here is where and how we are locking arms with some of our friends around the world:
Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity: Devastated by the impact of Hurricane Helene, the Asheville affiliate has rallied and mobilized to continue to serve the area in which they have been building homes for over 40 years. The Asheville ReStore and Administrative Office on Meadow Road near Biltmore Village sustained significant damage. The muck and gut is complete, but much work remains to be done. Not only did they lose significant amounts of ReStore merchandise, they also lost their ReStore truck fleet, fork lifts, and the revenue generated from the store. Your Bowling Green affiliate is actively working to assist resiliency and recovery efforts with the Asheville affiliate, and plans to visit and aid the Asheville team in the fall of 2025. If you would like to learn more about this affiliate or aid in their recovery, visit HERE to learn more.
Habitat Greater Los Angeles: Wildfires have torn through communities, leaving thousands of families devastated and without a home. In addition to the emotional toll, survivors now face the financial burden of rebuilding or relocating. In many cases, homeowners were uninsured or underinsured, leaving them with little to no coverage for rebuilding their homes. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has a long history of helping vulnerable households after a disaster, including rebuilding 120 homes after the recent Woolsey and Creek fires. In response, Habitat LA is launching ReBUILD LA™, a long-term emergency response campaign, to assist those affected to rebuild their homes, relocate to other housing, provide essential supplies, and restore their lives. Your Bowling Green affiliate is investigating unique fundraising opportunities through the ReStore's ROUND UP program to build a contribution in aid of ReBUILD LA™. If you would like to learn more about this affiliate or aid in their recovery, visit HERE to learn more.
Habitat for Humanity Nepal: Since 1997, Habitat for Humanity Nepal has provided more than 1 million people with support to build or improve the place they call home. As a part of affiliation with Habitat for Humanity International, your Bowling Green affiliate has the ability to specifically partner with and support an international affiliate. We chose Habitat for Humanity Nepal, as they work to aid over 40% of the country that is living in substandard housing. Our affiliate has designated available affiliation fees and tithe to support work in Nepal. To read about this affiliate and their work, visit HERE to learn more.
- Kentucky Habitat for Humanity: As we know all to well over the past few years, weather related events and housing challenges have complicated long standing housing challenges and presented new obstacles to affordable homeownership right here in our state. Your Bowling Green affiliate is actively working with state and federal legislature to advocate for affordable homeownership opportunity in our state. We also work alongside our many affiliate neighbors in the state, under the leadership of Kentucky Habitat for Humanity. We believe in calling and checking on our neighbor, showing up in their time of need, and working together to strengthen the mission of Habitat for Humanity across the state. Seeking to put love into action, we believe every one deserves a decent place to live.
