Who We Are

Staff

Our staff has an unwavering commitment and passion for our mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. We work tirelessly to ensure the long-term success of our organization.

  • I began serving as the Executive Director in 2009.  My passion is to help build strong communities through partnerships.  I have been amazed to see the change which occurs when individuals or organizations bring their strengths together for the community's good.  Each home we have constructed is the result of what we have accomplished together.  I love to hear about the success of one of our homeowner's or their children and know it was made possible because we all came together to help that family build strength, stability, and self-reliance.

  • I began working at Habitat in the ReStore in 2017 and became the Assistant Manager in 2018. In 2022 I moved out of the ReStore and into the role of Mission Engagement Director. The mission of Habitat for Humanity is something that is very important to me and drew me to this organization. Striving to make sure everyone has a safe and affordable place to call home is something I am very passionate about. To be able to work every day with our Partner Families, Volunteers and community to see change happen right here in Bowling Green is amazing. In my position, I am fortunate enough to work directly with the families that partner with us for homeownership. I get to hear their stories, know their families and watch them grow and thrive through this process. I personally know the impact having someone willing and dedicated to your happiness and success can have on your life and I strive to provide that for each of the families.

  • I began the role of Program Specialist in January 2022. My involvement in Habitat has spanned a few decades as a volunteer and advisor of the first high school chapter of Habitat for Humanity in the area. My formal training and experience are in education, specifically in business and technology. During my tenure as an educator, I witnessed the link of homeownership and educational success. Children living in substandard housing must conquer negative emotional and environmental stressors before learning can begin. The basic need of affordable housing must be met to provide our children with a positive learning experience, self-reliance, and future success. I am excited to work with Habitat to assist in providing local families with affordable housing opportunities.

  • My journey with Habitat for Humanity began in 2021 as a volunteer at the ReStore. I instantly fell in love with the mission of HFH and the direct impact it has on our community. My background in the banking and mortgage industry combined with my passion for serving families, led me to the Board of Directors, and now as a full-time team member. Every home is a building block, and I am honored to assist families in their journey to home ownership.

  • I began working with Habitat for Humanity in 2016. I found Habitat during my personal quest to work with an organization that was both compelling and competent. In other words, I really wanted to work in an organization that did good work and attracted good people. I love working with our staff, board, volunteers, and this community to support our goal of building strength, stability, and self-reliance in Bowling Green. It’s a joy playing a part in the collective effort of this community investing in a vision of a better future where everyone has an affordable and safe place to call home.

  • Bowling Green is home for me. Building is my skillset and passion. Joining Habitat for Humanity in 2023, I have enjoyed working with our community to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. I most enjoy working alongside families to build houses that become homes.

  • Being a long time ReStore shopper, I was excited to join the staff and delve into the work of this organization. Joining the team in 2022, it has been a joy working with our volunteers and families in pursuit of our mission. My job is construction oriented, but my passion is people centric. We build houses, but we really build homes-foundations for strength, stability, and self-reliance.

  • I started working for Habitat for Humanity in 2020. Before that I had little to no knowledge of Habitat. After a few months of working I got to attend my first home dedication for one of our core volunteers. Seeing that first hand opened my eyes to the opportunities home ownership offers and the impact this organization has on the local community. It has been a privilege being apart of the fundraising we do at the ReStore. I'm all in on the mission at Habitat for Humanity.

I began working at the ReStore in 2020. Working at the ReStore has been a great way to get involved in our community and see our results firsthand. By lifting whatever heavy objects the day bestows, money is raised and smiles are made. Each day presents its own challenges, and aside from helping those with a need, that is my favorite part about the work. No day is the same.

I started with Habitat at the ReStore in June of 2022. I have been thrilled to work in such a rewarding environment where our positive impact on the community can be seen on a daily basis. I look forward to coming into work every day and doing what I can to help.

I started working for Habitat For Humanity in early 2023. In conjunction with my dedication to the mission of Habitat, I am also very passionate about creating opportunities to strengthen our bonds in the community through the ReStore. Whether that is through making items available and accessible for a fair price to Kentuckians, or fostering a healthy environment for volunteers, I love supporting people every day that I go into work.
