Habitat for Humanity One Year Home Warranty
Starting from the date of closing on the home, Habitat for Humanity of Bowling Green/Warren County extends a warranty on defects regarding any of the following (over and beyond any factory/manufacturers warranties on included entities):
- General Electrical
- General Plumbing
- General Radon Mitigation
- General Construction
- Refrigerator
- Dishwasher
- Disposal
- Microwave
- Range
- Washer
- Dryer
- HVAC
- Water Heater
- Defects vs Damages
This warranty covers defects in delivered construction, appliances, and systems. This warranty does not cover damages to any delivered construction, appliances, and systems.
For example, if someone dents, scratches, or breaks an appliance via misuse this warranty does not cover replacement or repair of such damages. If the appliance fails to function fully or quits functioning as delivered, this warranty will cover repair or replacement. Similarly, if someone breaks a cabinet door, punctures sheet rock, or damages flooring this warranty does not cover replacement or repair of such damages. If elements of final construction reveal to be defective without damage, this warranty would cover repair or replacement. Determinations on defects versus damages, as well as general warranty coverage is at the discretion of HFHBGWC.
