Fall Application Session

Our 2024 fall application window is opening August 1st.

If you are interested in homeownership through our program, please review the program information below and check back here on or after August 1st.


Habitat for Humanity of Bowling Green/Warren County is building homes and looking for partner families interested in our homeownership program.

If you are interested in partnering with Habitat for Humanity through our homeownership program, please review the general program requirements below and click the button to "Complete Homeowner Interest Form." This form introduces you to your local Habitat for Humanity affiliate and, upon completion, will provide you with information about our next homeowner information/application session. 

Applications are considered on a first come, first served basis. Once all slots are approved the application window will close.


PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

You must be a first-time homeowner.

You must be a Legal Permanent Resident of the United States.

You must have lived or worked in Warren County for at least 12 months. Affiliates for other areas can be found at habitat.org.

Your yearly income must fall within our income guidelines, which are adjusted for family size. Income includes wages, Social Security, disability, SSI, TANF and child support. See income guidelines here.

You must have proof of one year of continuous income.

You must have a reasonably good credit history. It must be at least 18 months since you discharged any bankruptcies, and you must be making regular, on-time payments on your debts.

You must have a need for housing because your current housing is unaffordable, unsafe, or overcrowded.

You must be willing to meet the savings requirements for closing costs.

You must partner with Habitat for Humanity and contribute "homeowner in progress hours," helping to build your home as well as other families' homes, and attend educational workshops.
